Crystal Lake Patch is looking for a freelance reporter to cover city, schools and crime. We'd like someone who can work with the editor to find stories that others aren't covering or an angle the competition hasn't thought of. The position requires Internet access and the ability to take and upload photos.

Experience covering schools, crime and local government is preferred.
