What Kind of Posts Are We Looking For?
We are not looking for research writers. We are only interested in working with authors who have experience working in the industry and know intimately what they’re talking about. If you love web design, that means you!
Ideally, we are looking for tutorials on any web design related topic (e.g. How to code an events list in PHP, or set up a carousel with JavaScript). We also love well researched posts and discussions on various issues/techniques web designers can use (e.g. Best way to layout a site in CSS? How to optimize a site for fast loading? etc.)
Those posts can cover a wide range of topics. Some examples include:
* WordPress.
* Design theory and advice.
* JavaScript (Including JQuery etc.) tutorials.
* PHP.
* (Web design related) Photoshop tutorials.
* SEO and site analysis tools.
Posts We Aren’t Looking For
In general, we aren’t looking for list posts. We do publish some, but they’re a limited number and we tend not to be able to publish the number of them that people submit.
If you have a really great idea for a list, feel free to submit it. But just remember that every list needs a screenshot of every item, as well as a quick description of the item (e.g. this post).
Two Rules
* Articles must be unique. It cannot have been published elsewhere previously, and once the payment has been made, ownership of the article passes to Pro Blog Design. It cannot be re-published elsewhere.
* Articles may be edited. Please don’t be offended if we suggest changes, fix grammar, add links etc. However, no major changes will be made without your approval. It’s still your post.
I’m Convinced! What Now?
The idea for your post is everything. Take some time to think of something that will fit the site perfectly, and then use the form below to email us with your idea. Even better, email a few ideas and we’ll work on the best one!
Also, we only work through our editing emails once a week, so to save delays, make sure you give an overview on what each post would be about so we can let you know right away if it will work for the site or not.
A great way to do this is to list the subheadings you’d have in the post.

Web Design Tuts will be accepting guest post submission to be published on the site. In return for your wonderful, design-related article, we’ll tip you a generous $100 for your time.
I am only looking for insightful and interesting articles that offer some sort of benefit to the readers of Web Design Tuts. Your article doesn’t have to be long, it simply has to be unique, informative, and useful. This can be through an inspiration collection, an interesting compilation of useful tools for designers, or a tutorial on how to code that perfect element of a website.
Interested? Read the following steps to help you get your posts onto WDT.
1. What To Write About
The name of the site is Web Design Tuts, so write a post using any combination of the words web, design, and tutorials, you can come up with. Some ideas to get you started:
1. Screencasts – I would love to see some video posts here on WDT. These can be about designing a website, coding a cool feature, or anything else you feel is relevant.
2. Photoshop tutorials – Have you figured out to create an awesome effect on a website? Show our readers how they can do it too in Photoshop!
3. Web Development – Yes, I will also be accepting development tutorials on the site. Show our readers how to code something awesome with CSS, HTML, Javascript, PHP, Ruby, or any other coding language.
4. Inspiration – Put together a list of your favorite feature of websites – search bars, links, sidebars, navigations, tabs, etc.
5. Insight – Offer your insight into the web design world, the future of the web, and where you see web design going in the future. Only deep, thought-provoking entries of this type will be accepted.
2. What Is Expected Of Your Post
Web Design Tuts is dedicated to only providing useful, relevant, insightful, and interesting articles to our readers. We strongly believe that there are several designers out there looking for a way to express their ideas, opinions, and insight in regards to the web design world. If this sounds like you, there are a few things we expect of your guest post:
1. Be original – Don’t rehash an old article and call it done. Your post should be creative, fresh, and unique.
2. Be creative – If you want to write a post on a particular subject that has been written on before, simply take a new twist or new mindset towards the subject to make your post original and different.
3. Be smart – Insight is key here. It is one thing for someone to state facts and statistics, but it is completely different for someone to offer opinions, guidance, tutorials, and help to fellow web design enthusiasts.
3. Submit Your Idea
Got the perfect idea for a post that you would love to see on Web Design Tuts? Well, before you hop on in, shoot me an email with your idea to get it approved before you spend any time writing. I certainly don’t want you to lose several hours writing on a topic that can’t be accepted onto WDT!
4. Writing A Post
When writing a post, it is best to submit it in an html format that can easily be implemented into WordPress. Use plenty of H2 and H3 tags to help organize your content, and of course, use lots, and lots of images. Images make posts more interesting, easier to read, and more aesthetically appealing – don’t worry about overdoing it!
Things to keep in mind:
1. Images should be 540px wide.
2. H2 tags are used for larger, broader categorization.
3. H3 tags are used for more specific organization. Take a look at this post for example.
4. All outside sources and resources must be cited within the post in order to be accepted.
At the top of your post, be sure to include a brief, 1-3 sentence description of yourself. Feel free to include a couple of links to your own site, RSS feed, or anything else you would like. This is how people will learn about the author of the post, so make it catchy and interesting!
5. Quality Guidelines
As I hope I’ve made clear throughout this post, I will only be selecting the best guest post submissions. To make sure that yours is of the highest quality possible, please, for the love of CSS, use spell check and grammar check. I’m happy to correct a couple of mistakes here and there, but if your post is too sloppy, it will be overlooked and I’ll send you a very nice email saying that your submission has not been accepted.
6. Ready? Submit Your Post
After your post has been approved, written, and cleaned up, it’s time to send it to me for review. Simply head on over to my contact page and send me an email letting me know that your post has been completed. From there, you’ll be able to send me the post, images, and any additional resources used to write the article.
What About The Money?!
I expect high quality, originality, creativity, insight, and of course, time, from each post you write. The only way to return the favor is through monetary compensation and the exposure that you will gain on Web Design Tuts. For each approved article, I’ll send you $100 via PayPal. If I feel that your article has truly gone above and beyond my expectations, I’ll be happy to pay you more than the $100 base. Once we both agree on a price, I’ll publish the post, and you’ll get your money.
In addition to money, I also want you to be able to help your own site. In your guest posts, feel free to link to your own site or RSS feed to help gain some exposure and attention. I am only looking for insightful and interesting articles that offer some sort of benefit to the readers of Web Design Tuts. Your article doesn’t have to be long, it simply has to be unique, informative, and useful. This can be through an inspiration collection, an interesting compilation of useful tools for designers, or a tutorial on how to code that perfect element of a website.
Interested? Read the following steps to help you get your posts onto WDT.
1. What To Write About
The name of the site is Web Design Tuts, so write a post using any combination of the words web, design, and tutorials, you can come up with. Some ideas to get you started:
1. Screencasts – I would love to see some video posts here on WDT. These can be about designing a website, coding a cool feature, or anything else you feel is relevant.
2. Photoshop tutorials – Have you figured out to create an awesome effect on a website? Show our readers how they can do it too in Photoshop!
3. Web Development – Yes, I will also be accepting development tutorials on the site. Show our readers how to code something awesome with CSS, HTML, Javascript, PHP, Ruby, or any other coding language.
4. Inspiration – Put together a list of your favorite feature of websites – search bars, links, sidebars, navigations, tabs, etc.
5. Insight – Offer your insight into the web design world, the future of the web, and where you see web design going in the future. Only deep, thought-provoking entries of this type will be accepted.
2. What Is Expected Of Your Post
Web Design Tuts is dedicated to only providing useful, relevant, insightful, and interesting articles to our readers. We strongly believe that there are several designers out there looking for a way to express their ideas, opinions, and insight in regards to the web design world. If this sounds like you, there are a few things we expect of your guest post:
1. Be original – Don’t rehash an old article and call it done. Your post should be creative, fresh, and unique.
2. Be creative – If you want to write a post on a particular subject that has been written on before, simply take a new twist or new mindset towards the subject to make your post original and different.
3. Be smart – Insight is key here. It is one thing for someone to state facts and statistics, but it is completely different for someone to offer opinions, guidance, tutorials, and help to fellow web design enthusiasts.
3. Submit Your Idea
Got the perfect idea for a post that you would love to see on Web Design Tuts? Well, before you hop on in, shoot me an email with your idea to get it approved before you spend any time writing. I certainly don’t want you to lose several hours writing on a topic that can’t be accepted onto WDT!
4. Writing A Post
When writing a post, it is best to submit it in an html format that can easily be implemented into WordPress. Use plenty of H2 and H3 tags to help organize your content, and of course, use lots, and lots of images. Images make posts more interesting, easier to read, and more aesthetically appealing – don’t worry about overdoing it!
Things to keep in mind:
1. Images should be 540px wide.
2. H2 tags are used for larger, broader categorization.
3. H3 tags are used for more specific organization. Take a look at this post for example.
4. All outside sources and resources must be cited within the post in order to be accepted.
At the top of your post, be sure to include a brief, 1-3 sentence description of yourself. Feel free to include a couple of links to your own site, RSS feed, or anything else you would like. This is how people will learn about the author of the post, so make it catchy and interesting!
5. Quality Guidelines
As I hope I’ve made clear throughout this post, I will only be selecting the best guest post submissions. To make sure that yours is of the highest quality possible, please, for the love of CSS, use spell check and grammar check. I’m happy to correct a couple of mistakes here and there, but if your post is too sloppy, it will be overlooked and I’ll send you a very nice email saying that your submission has not been accepted.
6. Ready? Submit Your Post
After your post has been approved, written, and cleaned up, it’s time to send it to me for review. Simply head on over to my contact page and send me an email letting me know that your post has been completed. From there, you’ll be able to send me the post, images, and any additional resources used to write the article.
What About The Money?!
I expect high quality, originality, creativity, insight, and of course, time, from each post you write. The only way to return the favor is through monetary compensation and the exposure that you will gain on Web Design Tuts. For each approved article, I’ll send you $100 via PayPal. If I feel that your article has truly gone above and beyond my expectations, I’ll be happy to pay you more than the $100 base. Once we both agree on a price, I’ll publish the post, and you’ll get your money.
In addition to money, I also want you to be able to help your own site. In your guest posts, feel free to link to your own site or RSS feed to help gain some exposure and attention. * JavaScript (Including JQuery etc.) tutorials.
* PHP.
* (Web design related) Photoshop tutorials.
* SEO and site analysis tools.
Posts We Aren’t Looking For
In general, we aren’t looking for list posts. We do publish some, but they’re a limited number and we tend not to be able to publish the number of them that people submit.
If you have a really great idea for a list, feel free to submit it. But just remember that every list needs a screenshot of every item, as well as a quick description of the item (e.g. this post).
Two Rules
* Articles must be unique. It cannot have been published elsewhere previously, and once the payment has been made, ownership of the article passes to Pro Blog Design. It cannot be re-published elsewhere.
* Articles may be edited. Please don’t be offended if we suggest changes, fix grammar, add links etc. However, no major changes will be made without your approval. It’s still your post.
